An 1876 receipt for mosquito netting for beds

Former site of House Pupils’ bedroom, 1872

In the early days of the hospital, a House Pupil occupied the position called “resident” or “intern” today. House Pupils slept on site, and in the summer months mosquito netting was provided to allay nightly incursions of insects from the open windows.
